Health and Safety is our top priority at Everlast and our goal is to always operate safely and protect the reputation, value and assets of the Everlast Group, so that we have a safe working environment, practise and culture, maintaining legal, regulatory and contractual compliance. This will ensure that each and every Everlast project complies with statutory and industry specific safety requirements and achieves the standards our customers expect.
The Everlast Group operates a fully comprehensive Health & Safety management system and holds regular Safety Development Group meetings to review performance, set appropriate targets and agree policy. Our policy is to have a fully compliant CSCS workforce and we carry out both induction training as well as ongoing safety awareness initiatives.
Everlast Group is particularly proud to report the achievement of winning both the ROSPA and National Federation of Roofing Contractor’s Gold Award for Safety Performance in 2011 an achievement we will strive to emulate in 2012.
We encourage our staff to take ownership of their own safety and that of others by ensuring that each Operative is kept up to date with current Health, Safety and Environmental information, enabling them to comply with the statutory requirements in relation to safety and environmental management.
In addition each Operative receives training in emergency arrangements such as fire and first aid to minimise the affect of any incident that may arise on site. All Operatives also receive product specific training delivered directly by the manufacturer, thus minimising any potential risks during installation no matter how complex job.
We have produced a Toolbox Talk programme delivered by our Site Supervisors and attended by every Everlast Operative, which aims to keep our workforce fully aware of relevant and current Health, Safety and Environmental issues. During these Toolbox Talks we actively encourage discussion and debate ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety and our procedures are explored and discussed.
We work closely with our clients to ensure that our internal controls protect their interests and manage risk to an acceptable level.
This is achieved by producing and agreeing practicable and workable Health and Safety Plans for each new project then proactively managing and monitoring the plan throughout the project. This commitment to our client's wellbeing and the understanding of our accountability for the health and safety and welfare of customers and their staff our own employees, suppliers and the general public has led Everlast group to obtain the following accreditations:
By maintaining and developing our management systems to match industry best practise in the areas of Safety, Quality, Risk, Environmental and Waste management we are able to apply mechanisms for improving our performance and ensure that each project from the offset minimises the impact on the surrounding environment keeping it safe and healthy for all to enjoy.
Everlast’s commitment to Health and Safety was recognised by the NFRC when we won the Gold Award in 2011.
